On the 14th of December, during the general meeting, the members of the cooperative CNC U.A. approved the appointment of Maurice Koppen as Chairman of the Board of Directors of CNC U.A. Also Mr Koppen was appointed as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of CNC Holding B.V.
Peter van Asseldonk (mushroom grower in Zijtaart & cooperative member) and Leon van den Oord (mushroom grower in Ammerzoden & cooperative member) have been appointed as members of the Board of Directors of CNC U.A. and the Supervisory Board of CNC Holding B.V. With the re-election of Kees Vrolijk as non-cooperative member the Supervisory Board of CNC Holding B.V. consists now of four persons.
Cor Beerepoot (now former Chairman of the Board of Directors of CNC U.A.), Rian Verwoert (now former Chairman Supervisory Board of CNC Holding B.V.), René van Dongen (now former member of the Board and the Supervisory Board) and Maurice Willems (now former member of the Board and the Supervisory board) have resigned. The changes in governance structure originates from the decision to abandon the chain strategy and focus on the core business: producing high-quality substrates for mushrooms.
Maurice Koppen (39) is managing director at Oakfield Champignons B.V. in Stramproy. Since 2012 he is member of the Supervisory Board of CNC Holding and member of the Board of directors of CNC U.A. Koppen: "When I look back on the past few years I can conclude it was a tough period in which important decisions had to be made for the future. An example is the sale of Lutèce to Greenyard earlier this year. CNC is now at the beginning of a new era with a clear focus on the core business. The coming years we will define what strategy will bring the best opportunities for the business and how the cooperative model can function optimally within. These are challenges I like to address as a chairman and hereby I want to thank the members of CNC for the trust they have given me."
